Devconnect Highlights: Unveiling the Future of Payments
At the recent Devconnect week, Clave launched on zkSync Era Testnet, demonstrating its prowess in real-world scenarios through two powerful payment use cases: zkCafé and zkBazaar. Attendees had the opportunity to experience the future of wallet UX by trying out zkSync Era's native account abstraction on Clave, setting a new standard in wallet usability.
Our team has actively organized and participated in events throughout the week. We orchestrated events such as Abstract Istanbul, Aavolution, and Devconnect Gathering Cocktail, collaborating with our esteemed partners including zksync, Starknet, Odos, Argent, and Blocto. Moreover, we delivered speeches, engaged in panel discussions, and hosted workshops at prominent gatherings such as Abstract Istanbul, Cryptist, Aavolution, notDEVCON, Walletuncon, User Security Summit, and EVM Summit. zkCafé and zkBazaar: A Glimpse into the Future
To illustrate Clave's capabilities, attendees at Devconnect were treated to a unique experience at Mösyö Coffee for zkCafé and the zkBazaar. Setting up their Clave wallet was as simple as entering biometrics and a nickname. As a welcome gift, Clave accounts came preloaded with mock zkWEN tokens, providing a tap-and-go UX akin to mainstream payment platforms.

- Onboarded 750+ new users with just a nickname and biometric authentication: The easiest way to %100 Self-Custody
- Around 500 users have experienced shopping from local merchants with zkWen tokens.
- 2100+ transactions have been done without paying a gas fee (sponsored by Clave) or with paymasters (USDC as a gas fee token)

- Biometric Authentication with Secure Enclave: Enjoy a seamless wallet experience with face ID and hardware support, ensuring the utmost security.
- Paymasters: Say goodbye to native gas fee tokens. Clave allows users to pay gas with any paymaster-supported token, simplifying the UX.
- Sponsored Transactions: Clave sponsors transaction fees for specific actions, offering reward opportunities for users to explore new services.
- Social Recovery and Cloud Backup: In case of device loss, users can rely on friends, family, or another account as guardians for account recovery, promoting trust in personal networks.
⏭️ What’s next?
- Mainnet, mainnet, mainnet: Clave will launch on the zkSync Era mainnet in January’24.
- Audit: We’ve completed our first audit done by Spearbit, and we’ll release the report soon.
- Feedback and Improvements: We have gathered so much feedback from our early users about how we can make Clave perfect. We’ll use these to make improvements on UI/UX.
- Additional Functions: We’ll implement in-app functions (like swap, on-off ramp, referrals) to make Clave better suited. We’ve also started to work on crypto debit cards linked to your programmable Clave account.
