ETHDenver 2024 became the first mainnet showcase of Clave after months of development and beta testing periods during Devconnect Istanbul. We reached hundreds of people to use Clave on the zkSync Era for the first time, purchase merchs at the event, and enjoy their easy-to-use non-custodial wallet experience by aligning our vision to provide the easiest payment process to all kinds of users.

A Place Where Quests Turns Cool Merchs: BUIDLshop

BUIDLshop, a collaborative effort between IYK, Clave, zkSync, Summon, ETHDenver, and merch providers, where attendees spent their $BUIDL tokens after earning them by completing quests on IYK. By tapping attendees’ badges, visiting sponsors’ booths, or completing several quests, attendees received BUIDL tokens. They spent them at BUIDLshop during the main ETHDenver conference and experienced a seamless payment period with Clave, with only payment links, QR codes, and sponsored transactions by zkSync.

What Did We Achieve in Denver?

  • Reached 2000+ app downloads for iOS & Android
  • 1000+ $BUIDL token* holders with Clave
  • 2000+ TX happened in 3 days powered by zkSync

We onboarded hundreds of people to Clave with only Passkeys; they only needed their biometric authentication, no e-mails, no creating passwords, no seed phrases, or any process that took a while to create an account – it took only one click to be onboarded. Then, after receiving their 20 $BUIDL tokens and creating an account on Clave, attendees spent tokens for purchasing Read Write Own: Building the Next Era of the Internet by Chris Dixon, Boys Club hat, fluffy Puggy Penguins, Doodles cards, and many more merchs at the BUIDLshop with QR codes, payment links or usernames, and sponsored transactions by zkSync.

*BUIDL token was an ETHDenver event-based token with no fiat money equivalence.

What Will We Ship in the Near Future?

ETHDenver provided invaluable insights for our product development pre-launch. With feedback from attendees and community members, we're gearing up to incorporate exciting enhancements & updates into our roadmap.

  1. Closed Community Launch: ETHDenver was the first showcase of Clave on the zkSync Era mainnet exclusively for attendees, and we are getting ready to launch Clave for the first waitlist members.
  2. Feedback Evaluation: After we received valuable feedback from our community and event attendees, we started our internal development improvements. More features to provide a better UX are on the way!
  3. Providing More Experience: We are discussing event organizers to offer payment experiences with Clave in upcoming events. You can use Clave for your payments more in future Web3 events!
  4. Debit Cards & On/Off Ramp Solutions: One of our main motivations is making crypto payments more straightforward and accessible worldwide. On behalf of this goal, we’ll partner with on/off ramp providers & debit card providers in specific markets. More details will be provided in the upcoming months.
